8 - Nissan Ariya e-4orce
On the list of victims of the pandemic, you find the Nissan Ariya. This EV was supposed to make its debut in the summer of 2020, but the scourge that is Covid-19 and the supply chain crisis that came in its wake have delayed its arrival and development.
It is finally with us, but Nissan must be feeling like it’s an anti-climatic arrival. Rather than being THE vehicle everyone is talking about, The Ariya is now but one electric SUV among several.
Nissan was at the forefront of electrification with the LEAF, we should never forget that. It was the best-selling electric model in the industry before Tesla's Model 3 claimed that title.
The Ariya could have been THE electric SUV that everyone turns to. Now it’s in a dogfight. Its sales results will be interesting to follow. It is being shown here in New York in its new e-4orce configuration and under snowflakes… indoors.
