The current-generation Lincoln Nautilus may have only debuted for 2024, but in the fast-moving premium SUV market, stagnation is not an option. Lincoln is introducing a series of updates for the 2027 model-year, refining its popular midsize luxury utility vehicle with refreshed exterior styling, sophisticated new interior themes and expanded standard technology.
These details come to the fore in the same week that Lincoln confirmed the return of the Lincoln Hybrid to the lineup. The Nautilus is assembled in China, and the return of the hybrid is made possible by the trade agreements between Ottawa and Beijing regarding vehicle tariffs. Lincoln has also confirmed that it plans to shift production back to North America by 2030.
Design of the 2027 Lincoln Nautilus
The exterior updates borrow design cues from the flagship Lincoln Navigator. Up front, the 2027 Nautilus features a wider, more detailed grille paired with a redesigned hood and sculpted fenders. Updated signature lighting up front is matched by slimmer, re-proportioned LED taillights at the rear.
Buyers can select from five distinct wheel designs ranging from 19 to 22 inches. The optional Jet Appearance Package adds high-gloss black exterior accents, while two new paint colours join the order sheet: Nocturnal Blue, available across the range, and Frosted Fig, an exclusive plum-purple shade reserved for top-tier Black Label models, offered in the U.S only.
Interior of the 2027 Lincoln Nautilus
Inside, Lincoln doubles down on cabin personalization. There are new interior themes like Afterglow, Hot Chocolate and an updated Black Onyx.
To maximize passenger comfort, the optional Renew Package introduces 24-way Perfect Position front seats with memory and massage functions. There’s also something called Lincoln Rejuvenate, a multisensory relaxation feature that synchronizes audio, lighting, seating positions and cabin scents while the vehicle is parked.
The focal point of the dashboard remains the 48-inch panoramic display, controlled via a lower central touchscreen. The package includes four years of connected navigation with built-in Google functionality, an unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot and four years of BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving assistance, which can perform automatic lane changes to maintain flow.
Powertrain of the 2027 Lincoln Nautilus
Under the hood, there’s no change to the offering. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder generating 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The optional Nautilus Hybrid is back, pairing a high-output turbocharged 2.0L engine with a 100-kW electric motor for a total system output of 285 hp.
