Ram has detailed Canadian pricing for the 2027 ProMaster City, which is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in the second quarter of next year. The van will be offered starting at $41,995, plus $2,795 in freight and PDI, bringing the initial starting price to $44,790 before taxes.
Unveiled earlier this year, the model returns the ProMaster City nameplate to Ram’s commercial vehicle lineup. Two trims, Tradesman and SLT, will be offered, each available in cargo or passenger configurations.
Four variants in the catalogue
Including freight and PDI, the cargo ProMaster City Tradesman costs $44,790, compared to $46,790 for the cargo SLT. Passenger versions are priced at $48,790 and $50,790, respectively.
The passenger layout seats five occupants as standard, while an available third row increases seating capacity to eight. Depending on the selected configuration, buyers can choose between rear swing doors or a liftgate, along with various panel and window combinations.
Standard equipment includes heated front seats, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 10-inch central touchscreen featuring navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A digital rear-view mirror will also be included.
The SLT trim adds a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, front parking sensors and 17-inch wheels.
A 166-hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
All variants are powered by a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine generating 166 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels.
Ram gives a cargo volume exceeding 4,730 litres and a cargo floor length of 2,819 mm. The distance between the rear wheel wells exceeds 1,219 mm, allowing the van to carry four-by-eight-foot building sheets flat on the floor.
Payload capacity is rated at 907 kg (2,000 lb), matching the maximum towing capacity of 907 kg with the available hitch. Overall height remains under two metres, facilitating access to underground parking garages.
Standard driver assistance features
The ProMaster City comes standard with automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors. Passenger models also feature side curtain airbags for the rear seating rows.
Production is set to begin in 2027, ahead of initial Canadian deliveries scheduled between April and June.
