Lexus is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the IS sedan with the launch of a Special Appearance Package for the 2027 model year. Based on the Lexus IS 350 F Sport, this version stands out mainly through its Circuit Green colour and a production run limited to 350 units for the entire North American market.
Its arrival at Canadian dealerships is scheduled for later in 2026. Lexus hasn’t yet announced pricing for the special edition.
Unique design elements
The 2027 Lexus IS with the Special Appearance Package features 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. The Circuit Green shade is also exclusive to this model.
Inside the cabin, we find F Sport seats trimmed in black NuLuxe fabric and Ultrasuede. Green stitching echoes the body colour, while satin chrome finish accents round out the interior presentation.
Standard equipment notably includes a sunroof, triple-beam LED headlights, a Mark Levinson audio system, a Panoramic View Monitor and a parking assistance system.
Adaptive variable suspension is also included, along with a drive mode selector offering the following settings: Eco, Normal, Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom.
A V6 and all-wheel drive in Canada
Like other Canadian versions of the 2027 Lexus IS, this edition retains a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine delivering 311 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive comes standard on all models destined for the Canadian market.
The Special Appearance Package also inserts several driver assistance features, including Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist and Front Cross-Traffic Alert.
A tradition started in 2022
Since 2022, Lexus has offered a special edition or appearance package annually for its compact luxury sedan. This new variant thus fits into that series while highlighting 25 years of the IS.
Launched at the turn of the 2000s, the Lexus IS was developed to compete with German compact luxury sedans. Despite the general decline of this category as customers continue their migration to utility vehicles, it remains in the Canadian catalogue for 2027.
Full specifications will be revealed at a later date. Same goes for the suggested retail price.
