Volvo teams with Tablet Hotels on new Get Away Lodge

By ,

Automaker Volvo Cars has partnered with online boutique hotel curator Tablet Hotels on a new vacation concept. The secluded Get Away Lodge , located just outside the winter sports village of Åre in Jämtland County, in the mountainous region of northern Sweden, is a traditionally styled single-unit mountain lodge renovated to create a new retreat experience for travelers wanting to reconnect with nature.

For a limited time, guests can book an exclusive package at the newly opened lodge that includes use of a new Volvo V90 Cross Country; the car is equipped with all-wheel drive and extended ground clearance as well as driver-assist safety systems that will allow guests to explore the surrounding area with confidence and peace of mind. The package also includes 24/7 concierge service.

The lodge features a bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with a large fireplace, as well as a study and a yoga room; a large supply of outdoor sports gear is on hand at the disposal of guests.

“Our research shows that around the globe, six out of ten people want to spend more time outdoors, not at the office. We want to encourage people to reprioritize and reconnect with their forgotten passions. The lodge is the perfect location for anyone who wants to escape for a few days to discover the elusive work-life balance we have all heard of,” says Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Experience at Volvo Car Group.
