During the Automotive Journalist Association of Canada's annual Test Fest this week, Jaguar Canada presented the top journalist for 2006.This year's award goes to Nadine Filion, who just recently joined the ranks of Auto123.com."In a genre dominated by stories that all start to sound the same after a while, Nadine's stories were consistently fresh and flowed easily, never dragging in terms of pace or of content," said Marc Lalonde, journalist and one of the three judges on the panel. Nadine is a second-time winner of the award which rewards excellence in automotive journalism.The first runner-up is Robert Bosetelaar and his clean and conversational writing style, who writes for the Ottawa Citizen. The second runner-up is Jil McIntosh of the Toronto Star for providing "especially informative reporting."Nadine also won the Volvo Award for Environmental Journalism for her October 2005 article in Reader's Digest, titled "L'hybride, ça vaut le coût." The ninth annual award was presented by Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. during the AJAC awards dinner."Environmental preservation is an issue that requires attention," said Steve Blyth, President and CEO for Volvo Canada.
