MONTREAL - Starting today, Toyota dealers in GreaterMontreal and surrounding area are offering consumers a nicer way to buy avehicle.
This new approach, called "Access Toyota," reflects the demands oftoday's consumers in terms of transparency, access to information andinteraction with car dealers.
The result of three years of research, Access Toyota is an initiative bythe Canadian affiliate of the Japanese manufacturer. The program is alreadyenjoying success in the Prairie provinces, where it has been available for thepast year in Manitoba and since June 2001 in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
A survey conducted in Quebec by the firm BAROMETRE revealed that 70% ofthose polled were in favour of this type of program. They spontaneously citedprice negotiation as the hardest part of buying a vehicle.
According to Tony Wearing, group vice-president at Toyota Canada,"Greater Montreal represents the first and most important launch of AccessToyota in Canada's major urban markets. As such, it is a world first forToyota, and all eyes are upon us."
