ALMS: Winter tests prove right and wrong for Aston Martin

By ,

Aston Martin Racing made it to the top of the Winter Test chart on the last of two days of testing at Sebring International Raceway. All of this did not prevent one of the drivers, Harold Primat, to be up for a good scare in the afternoon when he lost the car in the wall.

Jon and Clint Field scored the second best time of the last day of testing with a lap of 1:47.925 (123.419 mph) around the 3.7-mile, 17-turn circuit.

Patrón Highcroft Racing followed in third place with the first LMP2 of David Brabham, Simon Pagenaud and Marino Franchitti. The drivers set a best time of 1:48.153 in the morning session.

Adrian Fernandez and Aston Martin Racing had also topped the chart in the first day of tests in Sebring with a best lap of 1:47.826.

The first race of the 2010 season, the 12 Hours of Sebring, should see its green flag on the weekend of March 17th-20th.
