By ,

Franck Lagorce (Skoda Fabia) dominated the Andros Trophy race held in Super Besse. Meanwhile, Alain Prost (Dacia Duster) virtually lost the championship in favor of Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW Series 1).

The event, a single round on Saturday, was dominated by Franck Lagorce (Skoda Fabia), who was the fastest in the qualifying heats before winning the final.

Lagorce won the overall classification of the day ahead of French drivers Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW 1 Series) and Alain Prost (Dacia Duster).

If Prost retains the championship lead when it comes to points, Dayraut takes it back from him in virtue of the rule that counts the two worst race results of the season.

The BMW driver currently has 678 points and Prost 686 points. Lagorce is closing in with 677 points.

The title will be played in two weeks in Lans-en-Vercors . The race  had been postponed due to warm days in mid-January.

Jacques Villeneuve (Skoda Fabia) retains its 10th place overall. The Canadian driver was 9th fastest in qualifying, before finishing 12th in qualifying heats. Sixth in his final heat, Villeneuve ranked 12th overall on Saturday.
