Proud of the racing success of its TDI engines, Audi has announced the commercialization of the Q7 V12 TDI, a stepped-up version of the German SUV.
Under the hood of this new
Q7 niche version lies a
6-litre, V12 diesel engine boosted by two turbochargers. With its 500 horses and, especially, its 738 lb-ft of torque, the Q7's new engine is quite impressive. Combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission, it manages a
fuel consumption rating of 11.3 L/100 km, an excellent achievement considering the vehicle's performance. Audi says that despite its size, the Q7 V12 TDI can accelerate from 0 to 100 km in just 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h!All Q7 V12 TDIs will be equipped with the quattro AWD power train, adjustable air suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, 8-piston brake calipers in front and ceramic and carbon fibre brake discs. The Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro will only be available in the European market.
