Audi unveils new TT clubsport quattro Concept

By ,

Volkswagen and Audi purists who attend the upcoming Wörthersee Tour in Reifnitz, Austria, will witness the introduction of the TT clubsport 2.0 . The event will take place on May 21-25 at the same exact spot as the previous generation. The design is quite similar, although the new model looks more production-ready. Actually, it has the makings of a classic speedster.
Powered by a 2.0L TFSI engine producing over 300 horsepower, the TT clubsport Concept promises entertaining performances. In fact, the entire car is sport-oriented. The windshield is extremely low and the front pillars are virtually invisible. Due to the missing roof, occupants are protected by active roll bars in the event of a crash. The bumpers have been reworked to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and accommodate the 2.6-inch wider track of the Clubsport compared to the regular TT . Once again, Audi used LEDs to highlight the high-performance nature of this car. Like every other Audi concept, this one benefits from extensive use of lightweight aluminum (body panels, steering wheel, doors, pedals). Finally, in order to create a stark contrast, the cockpit is draped in bright orange leather. Audi claims that a limited-production model for selected buyers will likely be made available. photo: Audi
