MINI chief Kay Segler has confirmed that series production will take place at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, alongside the Countryman. The first deliveries will begin in 2013 and the model will look almost exactly like the concept introduced at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

Boasting a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with available all-wheel drive, the Paceman will generate 211 horsepower and 192 pounds-feet of torque. It will seat four adults and target young, urban customers.

If you like the name, don't get too excited because MINI could still give the car a new name before its market release.
