BMW will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2016 and rumour has it that the German automaker may launch a plug-in hybrid supercar to rival the Porsche 918 Spyder and others. It would likely be based on the upcoming i8, but so much more powerful.
According to Auto Moto Und Sport , the BMW i9 could sprint from 0-100 km/h in under four seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. Just like the i8, it would achieve a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
BMW has yet to confirm these reports, of course, so let's be patient.
