Jim O'Donnell, BMW's president and CEO for North America, has confirmed that the German manufacturer is working on a new 4-cylinder, turbo engine.According to O'Donnell, the gas engine will be more powerful than BMW's current 6-cylinder; compared to them, the 4-cylinder mill will be cleaner and more fuel-efficient . Trouble is, O'Donnell couldn't say when the engine would be available on this side of the pond.
