A high-performance M variant of the next-generation BMW X3 compact luxury crossover will be introduced by late 2017, according to company insiders.
German magazine Focus , according to Digital Trends , reports that this model could generate close to 500 horsepower thanks to a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a dual-clutch transmission.
In case you didn’t know, a redesigned BMW X3 will make its debut next year. Such a potent version would directly rival the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GLC 55 and the rumoured Audi RS Q5. BMW also has plans for a fuel-saving X3 with plug-in hybrid technology.
