Bugatti Veyron maintenance costs not for the faint of heart!

By ,

Everybody knows exotic cars are pretty expensive to maintain, but when you can afford to spend the equivalent of an entire house on a four-wheel living room, a little extra for an oil change, filter replacement or lube job probably sounds trivial.

If your dream is to save enough money to purchase a Bugatti Veyron, however, this bit of news might very well crush your aspirations. TopSpeed reports that a routine service for the Veyron runs up to around £13,000, or roughly $20,500 based on current exchange rates.

Don't adjust your computer screen; you read that right. Basically, you could get your hands on a nicely-equipped, spanking-new Honda Civic or make a generous down payment for your new cottage with the same amount of cash.

Owners who take their car to the shop five times a year will spend a whopping $102,500 on maintenance costs. That's like buying a new BMW X6 M every 12 months!

Who ever said that money does not buy happiness?
