Cadillac, known for its large, luxurious cruisers, has plans to enter the compact luxury car market in 2012 with their codenamed number ATS.
Only a sketch of the vehicle has been released at the moment, but production of the small Caddy will begin next summer, and will be available in a RWD and AWD configuration. The ATS will be built at the same assembly plant in Michigan as the midsize Cadillac CTS.
Cadillac stated that the ATS will be made as a “driver's car” and will, obviously, be a Cadillac through and through.
