Canadian-made Magnum MK5 to attend 2014 SEMA Show

For the first time ever, the Magnum MK5 will be on display on the main floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the 2014 SEMA Show (November 4-7) thanks to a partnership with Ohlins Suspension.

The head-turning, Canadian-built supercar debuted at the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance last February. It houses a 250-horsepower, inline 4-cylinder engine under a carbon fibre body with easily removable front and rear panels. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes a mere 3.2 seconds.

The street-legal Magnum MK5 is also a two-seater with carbon fibre buckets featuring 6-point harnesses, a race-inspired steering wheel, and a backup camera. There is no stereo, no climate control system, no roof, and no windshield.

Magnum Cars was founded in 1968 by Jean-Pierre St-Jacques. The company manufactured the Formula Ford car driven by Gilles Villeneuve in the 1970s.
