Rainier to Replace Bravada as the Oldsmobile Brand Gets Phased Out for 2004
GM Canada recently announced the pricing for its 2004 Buick Rainier sport utility that is scheduled to go on sale this fall. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) will start at $49,245, excluding applicable sales taxes and destination charges.

Mario Sevigny, marketing manager for sport utilities commented on the arrival of the new Rainier, "We are excited with the addition of this stylish and versatile SUV to the Buick lineup."

The Rainier is the first truck-based SUV in the Buick lineup. The new sport utility will come standard with a 4.2 litre inline six-cylinder engine delivering 275 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. An optional all-aluminum 5.3-L V8 with 290 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque will be available.
Sevigny further commented that, "The Rainier offers a long list of standard features for more comfort and convenience to our consumers. With an agile platform, this SUV will be equally at home whether you are out on the town, driving over rough terrain or off-road where it is off-limits to conventional passenger cars."
