The Long Beach event that will be run next weekend will have a field of 20 cars as both teams and drivers will bid farewell to the Champ Car Series.Of course, the drivers that have switched to the reunified IndyCar Series will be present to score points that will count towards their IndyCar tally. Veterans will also be on hand as Paul Tracy, Roberto Moreno, Mario Dominguez, Alex Tagliani, and Jimmy Vasser have already but confirmed their participation.Paul Tracy had been unsure of his deal with Forsythe Racing last week but has now been confirmed for the event and he will join David Martinez and Franck Montagny in a Forsythe three cars assault. Pacific Coast Motorsport will run cars for Dominguez and Alex Figge. Walker Racing will field a single entry for Alex Tagliani. Nelson Philippe will race for HVM Minardi, alongside Moreno and IndyCar convert EJ Viso.
