Chevy Bolt EV range increased to 383 km

The upcoming Chevy Bolt EV knows how to build anticipation. Instead of a range of 320 km as initially advertised, the all-electric compact hatchback will reportedly offer up to 383 km, according to the very latest U.S. EPA estimates.

Canadian numbers have yet to be announced, but expect something quite similar.

By comparison, the new Nissan LEAF is capable of just 172 km of zero-emission driving.

“While range is important, we knew Bolt EV owners would want more — more space and more power — and the Bolt EV delivers,” said Bolt EV Chief Engineer Josh Tavel. “Our team took special pride in optimizing every aspect of this vehicle, especially its impressive range and ride dynamics.”
