Engineers at Citroën Racing lowered the chassis and widened the track on its production DS4. The concept also sports an air diffuser, front bumper panel, lower-body belt-line and wing extensions. A tweaked 1.6-litre turbo engine now develops 256 bhp, or 160 bhp per litre, a record for a series-production car.

Massive four-pot fixed calliper brakes grace the front, with special discs widened to 380 mm in diameter and shod with larger, 19” wheels.

Its matte-grey paint effect, which the manufacturer says catches the light differently and enhances the body styling, doesn’t sound like it should wow, but it’s pretty darn pretty. A two-tone roof and specially designed two-tone wheel rims further vamp up the exterior.
