Citroën prepares 3 world premieres for Geneva Motor Show

Citroën will unveil a new C3 and two new concepts at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The C3 has sold nearly 3 million units since 2002. It will now burn up to 25% less fuel and emit only 87g/km of CO2, depending on the engine selected. The car also gets minor cosmetic upgrades.

A prototype version of the sedan will demonstrate Citroën's new Hybrid Air technology. Using an 82-horsepower, 3-cylinder engine, it achieves an incredible 2.9L/100km and 69g/km of CO2. The company would like to enter production in 2016.

Finally, the Technospace concept gives a preview of the future Citroën C4 Picasso, which will hit most European markets in the second half of 2013. A 100% touch-sensitive driving interface and 12” widescreen display are part of the package. The model in Geneva will be a 5-seater; a larger 7-passenger variant will follow at the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall.
