Today, the Fiat Brand releases the first images of the Fiat 500 Sport model, which like the original 500  (Cinquecento) from more than 50 years ago, features iconic Italian design,  and is developed to be an ultra-efficient and stylish option for North American drivers.

Matching its sport-tuned suspension, the Fiat 500 Sport features athletically styled front and rear fascia with larger grilles and flared aerodynamic treatment.  It rolls on unique 16-inch aluminum wheels with mineral gray painted pockets accented with performance red painted-brake calipers, a chromed-exhaust tip and gloss black shadow-line window trim. This Cinquecento also features new body-side sill cladding for an enhanced sport appearance and an available SkyDome power sunroof for an ultra-open view of the world around.

The world-class 1.4-liter engine with Fiat’s state-of-the-art MultiAir™ technology powers the Fiat 500 Sport. MultiAir significantly reduces emissions while improving fuel economy and power delivery by up to 10 percent when compared to similar engines.

In addition to the Fiat 500 Sport, two additional models, the Fiat 500 Pop and the Lounge have also been adapted for the North American market. The all-new Fiat 500 will be available for ordering later this year followed by the all-new Fiat 500C (cabrio) in the spring of 2011.
