Darknights Nationals IV

By ,

Car shows in the Greater Toronto Area come and go, but Innovative Entertainment's Darknights Nationals has stood the test of time. 2003 represented the fifth edition of DKN and the boys at Innovative stayed true to the Darknights format, bringing the cars, the vendors and models as far as the eye could see.

Not even scorching temperatures and a major police presence at every entrance to the Markham Fairgrounds was enough to keep thousands of import enthusiasts away from DKN5. In a city still recovering from the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the so-called "SARS epidemic", DKN5 proved to be just what the doctor ordered. Those who braved the heat were able to take in top-notch entertainment, from the Rascalz to the ever-popular Darknights Bikini Contest.

Since its creation five years ago, the Darknights Nationals has evolved from a field full of cars into a field full of cars, girls, and vendors booths, not to mention a stage show worthy of a Shawn Desman concert. The creators of the Darknights Nationals continue to stay true to their name preferring to Innovate while others attempt to emulate. As the saying goes, only the strong survive, and undoubtedly, the Darknights Nationals will be back for more in 2004.
