Detroit 2008: Lexus reveals LF-A Roadster

By ,

The LF-A Coupe was introduced in Detroit last year, and this time around, a topless version of the sports coupe is now presented.Powered by a 5.0-liter V10 that produces over 500 horsepower, the LF-A is said to be capable of more than 200 mph (324 km/h). The engine is located in front of the passenger compartment but behind the front axle, hence the "front-mid" configuration.Like the coupe, the LF-A Roadster stands 1,219 mm (48 inches) tall, but adds an active rear wing. The car rides on 265/35R20 front and 305/30R20 rear tires, and cross-drilled disc brakes are found all around. The LF-A carries the 'F' logo on its fenders, marking the vehicle as part of Lexus' new performance-oriented model lineup.
