Detroit 2011: World premiere of the 2012 Hyundai Veloster (gallery)

One of the most anticipated vehicles from Detroit's 2011 North American International Auto Show was the Hyundai Veloster . Unveiled for the very first time, it delighted visitors and journalists.

It offers the style of a coupe, the functionality of a hatchback and great rear seat access thanks to its third door that incorporates a handle in the C pillar. Under the hood, the car offers a direct injected, four-cylinder 1.6-liter engine that produces 138 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque and will consume less fuel than the Honda CR-Z .
