Bentley is set to unveil its two new V8-powered Continental models at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine of the Bentley Continental GT coupé and GTC convertible generates 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm along with 487 lb-ft of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. Paired with a new close-ratio 8-speed automatic transmission, it allows 0-100 km/h accelerations of 4.8 seconds as well as a top speed of 303 km/h.
Bentley listened to its customers and developed a fuel-efficient, low-emission high luxury sedan that can cover more than 800 kilometres on a single tank.
