Detroit 2012: Chevrolet premieres two new models Next-generation buyers inspire Code 130R and Tru 140S

Using the feedback from thousands of young consumers across the United States, Chevrolet unveiled two new ''inspirational'' models at the 2012 North American International Auto Show: Code 130R and Tru 140S.

Code 130R is a sleek RWD coupe that can seat four. Its aggressive lines and efficient turbocharged engine, working in tandem with Chevrolet's eAssist technology, combine American performance heritage with modern fuel-saving technologies.

Tru 140S, meanwhile, is an exotic-looking FWD four-seater that leverages the proven platform of the award-winning Chevrolet Cruze and Volt.

According to the company, younger buyers value:
  • Sedan-sized functionality in a performance coupe that seats four passengers;
  • WiFi connectivity and smartphone integration with Chevrolet MyLink;
  • 40 MPG and about 150 hp with a 1.4L Turbo Ecotec engine;
  • An affordable price in the low $20K range.
