We announced the arrival of the all-new Dodge Dart last December. Chrysler has just confirmed at the Detroit Auto Show that production of the 2013 Dodge Dart, based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, will start early next summer.

Buyers will have a choice of three 4-cylinder engines:
  • A 160 hp, Tigershark 2.0-litre
  • A 160 hp, turbocharged Multiair 1.4-litre
  • A 184 hp, Tigershark Multiair 2 2.4L

Combined with the three available transmissions, 6-speed manual, automatic or dual clutch, the Dart offers the most diverse choice of powertrains in its class.

The 2013 Dodge Dart’s architecture ensures excellent stability, and it features many aerodynamic elements including active grille shutters that permit or limit airflow through the lower intake and underbody panels that create a flat underside that helps block road noise.
