DTM: Alexandre Premat reveals to be in talks with BMW

Former DTM Audi driver Alexandre Premat revealed he looks forward to making a return in the DTM series with BMW in 2012.

Frenchman Premat, who is currently without race seat for 2011 after his divorce with Audi before the end of 2010 (following his frightening, heavy crash in Adria ), is hoping to join BMW as the German car manufacturer will be back in the series in 2012.

“My objective is to return to the DTM in 2012,” he told Autosport magazine.

“I like the series, which suits my driving style. I'll get in touch with BMW. I have four years of experience, it might be interesting for them to have someone who has DTM experience ».

Furthermore, BMW has confirmed that Augusto Farfus will join Andy Priaulx in the DTM team in 2012. The two men were teammates at BMW in the WTCC for several years.

Meanwhile, former ChampCar series’ driver Robert Doornbos said he was in talks with Mercedes for a drive in 2011.

Former Red Bull F1 David Coulthard will likely be again part if the Mercedes-Benz squadron, driving a private C-Class.
