DTM: Back in action at the Norisring

By ,

After a long hiatus of more than 6 weeks since the last race at the EuroSpeedway, the German Touring series DTM will be back in action next week-end at the Norisring, of the most popular venue on the calendar. While Audi have had a strong start at the beginning of the season, Mercedes seems to have revolved their problems and have been more than competitive in the last races as shown by the championship ranking dominated by three Mercedes drivers. The Norisring has always been one of the most spectacular races of the season and, in recent years; Mercedes has always had the upper hand. The last time Audi won at the German circuit was in 2002. Canadian driver Bruno Spengler has won the race back to back in 2006 and 2007 and he will surely try to get back in the fight for the championship, as he stands 6th with 14 points.
