Veteran AMG Mercedes-Benz driver
Bernd Schneider , also a former Formula 1 driver, will retire from racing after this weekend's DTM season finale at Hockenheim, Germany.
The 44-year old German competitor has won five DTM championships during his career. He also enjoyed a brief career in Formula 1, starting in nine Grand Prix between 1988 and 1990 for Zakspeed and Footwork.Bernd Schneider will work as a brand ambassador, instructor and test driver for Mercedes at the AMG Driving Academy.
