Mario Theissen, BMW motorsport director, took part to a meeting with deciders from Mercedes and Audi and DTM organizers ITR members, during the 4th round of the DTM season at the Norisring.
The german brand, who participates to WTCC championship for years, recently revealed its interest in a DTM entry. BMW’s implication in WTCC for the next seasons is still to decide. BMW retired from Formula 1 at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, ITR boss Hans Werner Aufrecht also received a delegation from the japanese GT championship, to discuss about a link-up between the two series in the championship. ITR are also in talks with Grand Am championship organizers.
