Paul Di Resta (Mercedes) set the best performance in qualifying at Lausitz. His team mate, canadian Bruno Spengler , will also start from front row.
Championship leader Bruno Spengler confirmed his regularity, as he always stood on top of time sheets all along the session. Mattias Ekstrom (Audi), winner of the last round in Valencia, and 2nd at the provisional classification, was third fastest.
Disapointment for Gary Paffett (Mercedes). The opening round winner had already a disappointing week-end at Valencia (9th), and was only 9th fastest of the qualifying today.
David Coulthard put a strong performance aboard his 2008-spec C Class Mercedes, with the 8th best performance. On the other hand, Ralf Schumacher is only 17th with his official HWA team C Class Mercedes.
The “old” cars were fast today, and will be serious contenders tomorrow. Jamie Green C Class’s was at the top of the ranking all along the session, and finally clinched 4th best performance. 2008 Audi of Rockenfeller and Premat are 5th and 7th quickest.
