For a while now, we’ve been publishing articles questioning the impacts electric vehicles will have when they finally hit dealerships. One of the main issues raised is, without the shadow of a doubt, how first responders will manage to safely cut through crashed vehicles and avoid further tragedies.
In this time of smart phones, Bohemian Innovation has had the brilliant idea of developing Extraction Zone, an application providing detailed plans of the most popular vehicle models. The app shows ambulance attendants, firemen and policemen the location of air bags, seat belt pretensioners, structural supports and power and propulsion systems.
The idea behind Extraction Zone is to help first responders save lives without worrying about their own safety.
Extraction Zone is still in the development phase and is not yet available for download. We thought this excellent initiative deserved recognition, though, and we hope the project will come to fruition.
