By ,

The American web site F1 News Austin has posted aerial photos of the building site of the newest Formula 1 circuit located near Austin, Texas, which will be the home of the next Grand Prix of the United States.

The photos were provided by Colin Guinn at Aircam.co, the pilot of the remote zero-emission small airplane.

Here is a general shot of the building site. The layout of the track is now clearly visible. Lots of earth still needs to be moved but some serious progress has been made since ground breaking.

The newly named Circuit of the Americas will feature a 3.4-mile road course with a total capacity of 120,000 fans.
