Despite a short downpour and grey skies, a large crowd attended on Thursday the highly popular Open House event at circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in preparation for the Grand Prix of Canada.
The fans had a unique chance to see the Formula 1 cars from up close. The early birds also witnessed the impressive pit stop practices executed by teams McLaren, Force India and Toro Rosso.
The autograph session was extremely popular, as ever. The last fifteen minutes were quite hectic with the participation of the big guns: Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
Interestingly, Vettel’s teammate at Red Bull Racing, Australian Mark Webber, took part in the session before.
The fans also admired some of the cars that will be competing in the support series, such as two Historic Grand Prix cars, a Ferrari from the Challenge, a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Formula 1600 single seater.
Action will start tomorrow with the two free practice sessions for the Formula 1 cars.
