The third test session in preparation for the Formula 1 World Championship came to an end today at the Catalunya Circuit, on the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain.
Brazilian Felipe Massa was on track at the wheel of the F150th Italia for the second consecutive day. The Brazilian worked mainly on a comparison of the various types of tire Pirelli brought here, running with different fuel loads and with different car set-ups. Massa set the fastest time of the week with a 1:22.625.
Mark Webber ended up second in the Renault-powered Red Bull Racing RB7. The team got through quite a lot of work in evaluating some development components on the suspension, brakes and aero package. Despite a few small technical issues, the team got through the whole programme without any difficulties.
