Reports in Italy indicate that Robert Kubica has left the intensive care unit and has been moved to the normal ward following another good night

Italian web site IVG.it indicated that Dr Francesco Lanza, head of traumatology and orthopedics at the Santa Corona hospital said that Kubica's remaining surgery could be combined into a single operation on Friday.

Additional media reports suggest that, if all goes well, the Lotus Renault driver could be discharged from hospital as early as the end of next week.
