Team McLaren-Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton dominated today the two free practice sessions of the German Grand Prix in Hockenheim . Showers forced the drivers to run on intermediates tires this morning but the skies quickly cleared up so the track was dry in the afternoon.Hamilton emerged quickest in the morning, beating his teammate Heikki Kovalainen who is increasingly comfortable at the wheel of the McLaren car.In the afternoon, Hamilton was quickest again, setting the best time on soft compound. His time was 7/10ths of a second quicker than that of Ferrari's Felipe Massa .
