F1: Latest update on Robert Kubica's condition

By ,

The Lotus Renault GP team has issued a press release Monday about the condition of its driver Robert Kubica who was severely injured in a rally accident in Italy, Sunday February 6.

Polish news channel TVN 24 caused some trauma in the medias as it quoted the Polish driver's girlfriend Edyta Witas as saying his "physical and psychological state" has "worsened" since his last surgery.

“The latest update on Robert is that his condition remains positive. He will stay in intensive care for the next couple of days to allow a complete check-up and to avoid another change of department before his final operation,” the release said to calm things down.

“His good general condition means that the final surgery (on the elbow) is scheduled for Wednesday.”
