Sebastian Vettel's victory was his first in Monaco, extending his runaway championship lead to 58 points.

Hard time for the reigning world champion as Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and Jenson Button (McLaren) were putting pressure at less than one second of the Red Bull driver.

The race was stopped height laps to go due to a big crash. Adrian Sutil, Jaime Alguersuari, Vitaly Petrov and Lewis Hamilton were involved. The Russian driver needed medical assistance to get out of his car, but is safe.

"Vitaly is okay," team boss Eric Boullier said. "He complained only about leg problems, but the doctors say nothing is broken. He has been taken to hospital for observation, but it seems only that his legs are bruised."

Indeed, a Renault spokesman said the Russian's ankle was examined and "no fracture" was diagnosed.

Mark Webber (Red Bull) is fourth after overtaking Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber) in the last lap. Lewis Hamilton, really angry at the end, finishes sixth with his McLaren.
