F1: Red Bull Frozen One in Montreal

A Red Bull -Renault Formula 1 car fitted with studded tires will be driven on a sheet of ice on Sunday to celebrate the return of the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal.

Montrealers will have chills running up and down their spines -- literally -- as they will witness the world’s ultimate car on ice.


Toro Rosso driver Sébastien Buemi will demonstrate his incredible skills and pilot this technically equipped car at Parc Jean-Drapeau located in the Olympic Basin behind the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve .

A 4-kilometer track is laid out on the ice made up of turns, straightaways, and open areas.

Action starts at 1:00pm with the introduction, and Buemi will demonstrate the car from 1:15 to 1:45 pm. Afterwards, there will be a parade of the Red Bull Sugga.

Admission is free.
