F1: Two more teams confirm young drivers for Abu Dhabi test

Two more Formula 1 teams – Caterham and Lotus -- have confirmed their driver line-up for the Young Driver Test to be held at the circuit of Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, November 6-8.

Caterham
The Caterham F1 Team has confirmed that 27-year old reserve driver, Dutch Giedo van der Garde will be in the car for days 1 and 2 of the test with 21-year-old Test driver, American Alexander Rossi taking over for day 3. Both drivers will be driving one of the team's Caterham CT01s powered by a Renault engine.

Lotus
Nicolas Prost, Edoardo Mortara and Davide Valsecchi will join Lotus F1 Team for the Abu Dhabi Young Driver test, which will take place following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit next month.

The running order for the Lotus F1 Team drivers over the course of the three day test is as follows:
• Tuesday 6th November: Nicolas Prost
• Wednesday 7th November: Edoardo Mortara
• Thursday 8th November: Davide Valsecchi

“I think we have a great line-up of drivers to work with the team in Abu Dhabi and it will be very interesting for us to see how they stack-up; especially as we will have all the data from the Grand Prix which takes place the week before,” said Eric Boullier, Team Principal.

“Nicolas we know well from his existing work with the team, while Edoardo and Davide are new to us so it should be a productive three days; not just for the drivers, but also the team as we evaluate new parts on the car for our final push at the last two races of the season,” Boullier added.
