F1600: ROAD TO INDY agrees to Canadian partnership

By ,

F1600 Canadian championships organizers have put their country on the ROAD TO INDY map.

The ROAD TO INDY concept is simple: three steps to IndyCar. First F2000, then Star Mazda and finally Indy Lights as a stepping stone.

Thanks to the work of Québec and Ontario championship organizers, respective Formula Tour and Ontario Formula Ford Championship champions will be given the chance to show-off in a test day aboard F2000 machines among ROAD TO INDY participants.

"I will say that is a good move in right direction no [doubt]," Marcel Lafontaine, Formula Tour President said in a press release.

"Our Ontario partner Brian Graham had this great idea to have ours champions to do [a] test day with ANDERSEN F2000 owner of this pro [series] at the end of 2012 season at Indianapolis. Teams form star Mazda, Indy Lights and may be IndyCar will on track during that test day… just awesome!"
