F2: Perfect week-end for Jolyon Palmer in Monza

By ,

Two victories and two pole positions at Monza  for Jolyon Palmer: the Brit now leads the championship.

Jolyon Palmer, son of former F1 driver and Formula 2 promoter, took benefit of Philip Eng’s bad week-end to take the championship lead back, 12 points in front of Dean Stoneman.

Dean Stoneman had also a good week-end in Monza, finishing 2nd in Race 1 and 4th in Race 2. The Austrian driver was the championship leader when he arrived at Monza, but he only classified 11th in Race 1, and things went event worst for him on Sunday when he had to retire after a contact with other cars. Philip Eng stands now 3rd in the provisional standing.
