F2: Poland's Natalia Kowalska joins Formula 2 series

By ,

Twenty-year-old Natalia Kowalska from Poland is trying to follow the steps of fellow countryman Robert Kubica and hopefully make it to Formula 1 one day.

The young racer has joined the 2010 FIA Formula 2 Championship grid, becoming the 20th confirmed driver for the forthcoming season.

Kowalska was born December 31, 1989 in Koszalin, Poland. She began racing karts at a very young age. She clinched several national titles and also competed in the Rotax Max Challenge series.

Natalia contested six Star Mazda races in the United States during 2008, with Andersen Racing which followed a part season in both Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and Formula Renault 2.0 NEC in 2007.

She has also tested both a Formula 3 and International Formula Master car.

Unfortunately, a lack of budget curtailed her 2009 campaign.

Kowalska moves to the Formula 1 feeder series after contesting the F2 winter testing programme in Valencia last December.

Season will start April 16 to 18 in Silverstone, Great Britain.
