Source: Dubai AutodromeThe first three-day test at the Bahrain International Circuit came to an end today with Scuderia Ferrari putting in another flawless performance. Reigning world champion Kimi Räikkönen lapped the 5.41km BIC in 1m 30.455s in the course of a 74-lap programme, with his Brazilian team mate Felipe Massa lapping 0.8s slower on his first day in Bahrain. The dazzling performance of the Räikkönen's Ferrari in the Bahrain test has made headlines across Europe, but the 28-year-old Finn remains cautious. "I'm enjoying myself here in Bahrain with the team," Räikkönen said. "We had a really successful 2007 to win both championships and hopefully we will have a strong car again in 2008. It was good to have the car ready early enough to get more testing but you have to wait for the first race to see what everyone's performance really is."Felipe Massa, the winner of last year's Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix added: "I'm very happy to be back in Bahrain. It's always exciting to drive on this track and the race was very competitive here last year, so it's good to get experience in here with the new car."Toyota fielded its Italian driver Jarno Trulli and young Japanese test driver Kamui Kobayashi as the team continues to work on the new TF108.The drivers now take two days out from their on-track schedules before testing resumes on Saturday for a further three days.
