Barry Engle has decided to step down as president and CEO of Ford Canada. David Mondragon, currently serving as general manager for the South West region of the U.S., will succeed Engle as of September 1.
David Mondragon, president and CEO of Ford Canada
Barry Engle has been with Ford since 1992. Before being appointed president and CEO of Ford Canada, he served in a variety of functions including general manager of marketing. Engle will act as president and CEO of New Holland Agricultural Equipment effective September 8. The king is dead, long live the king! David Mondragon will have his work cut out for him as head of Ford Canada, as sales of light vehicles have gone down 8.4% in Canada during the second quarter of 2008 compared to the same time last year. All in all, David Schoch, executive director of Canada and South America at Ford, is very happy about Mondragon's appointment, saying "David is the right person to lead Ford Canada." photo: Ford
